Training

Training is the catalyst which enables you to develop your mind.  Without it, success is nothing more than mere chance.

The topic of training in itself is huge.  There are so many different directions you could go when discussing this issue.  One must ask "how can I improve my proficiency?" This discussion could possibly take years!  So I'll start with the basics and make available special links on the "RESOURCES" page instead of trying to re-write all of the knowledge that I have gathered over the years.

In any business, there are fundamental things one MUST LEARN.  I will assure you that if you skip the learning process and think you already know it all, you will fail... and miserably.  Even the wealthiest, most powerful, and successful people on the planet constantly challenge themselves by trying to pick up one more little detail that they were unaware of.  Believe it or not, success is enhanced by reading each others' training manuals, advice newsletters, or just getting together with each other and collaborating on problem issues or running a new idea by a like-minded colleague.  So let's begin!

Structure:  This is very important.  Without structure, everything else that you attempt to build up will continue to fall down around you.  This includes a dedicated schedule by appointment only.  Set up a reasonable game plan, but start small, as things will take longer than you anticipate in the beginning.  Figure out what you'll do and at what time throughout the day, or evening if you currently have a job (hopefully with some follow-through, you can change that).  Things which you think are priority now might find their way to the back of the pack later on.  So just start with a few items to do and slowly add to the list as you get comfortable and efficient.  You want to build consistent and solid, not overnight.  If you build an overnight business, you will undoubtedly leave something out, and that might be "all she wrote" to really set you back, or even ruin all your efforts completely.

Following Through:  After you've set up structure, you must follow through.  I'm not going to spend much time preaching on this one, but it is probably the #1 reason people fail in their endeavors.  It's just that important, and most people don't want to hear it!

Customers & Prospects:  Ok now, we're finally getting to the "meat of the matter".  Everyone really wants to know how to get, gather, and find their customers and prospects, or shall we say LEADS.  We don't even mind paying for them if have to, but they would be better if they were FREE!  Let's face it, every business needs customers.  It doesn't matter how much you know about your company or its products/services.  No one cares how much the company made last year or how pretty your affiliate duplicated website is.  Guess what?  Sitting around looking at your website and scratching out the 3x3x3 type of matrix on a piece of paper while dreaming about how much money you're going to have... isn't going to build your business.  To build a business you need customers... you have to have cold hard customers.  Customers visit and re-visit websites and purchase products or services.  Without customers... YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS,  PERIOD!

  So how can you find customers?  YOU DON'T!  You have your customers find you.  No one likes to be sold... but people love to sell themselves.  Remember the phrase "build it... and they will come"?  It's no different here.  "You have to become the Hunted... instead of the Hunter".  Think about that statement for a moment.  Instead of hunting people down, you simply want to position yourself with your product where they can easily find you.  Don't think it works?  You found me, didn't you?  As I've stated above, when you first started reading this page, there will be special links on the "RESOURCES" page that will take you into much greater depth on the subject.
